We are Missionaries Here: The Solution

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Genesis 12:1-3

Questions for Reflection

  1. Lets be honest with each other: Do you really think that God called Abraham to bless the world? Really? From Genesis 12, what do you think that means?
  2. Jesus makes it very clear that He has set us an example of service and blessing (John 13:1-17). It's a ministry strategy straight from God! Do we use this strategy in church? What ministry strategy do we usually use? How might we do ministry that blesses our neighborhoods?
  3. We've been in a series about being missionaries where we live.Do you think it's possible to be missionaries without going on a mission trip? Honestly! What scriptures come to mind that help you understand that we are all called to bless and be sent to save the lost? (They are all over scripture, try to find some for yourself.)
